Choosing where to stay in Buriram is more straightforward than you might expect. The accommodation scene reflects the city itself — practical, unpretentious, and better than most visitors anticipate. This isn’t Bangkok or Chiang Mai. You won’t find rooftop infinity pools or boutique heritage hotels on every corner. What you will find is a range of clean, well-priced options in the city, three hotels within walking distance of the circuit and stadium, and — if you’re prepared to look beyond the city limits — some of the most peaceful rural accommodation in the region.
Here’s how to choose the right option depending on why you’re visiting.

Buriram City Centre Hotels
For most visitors spending a few nights in Buriram — whether for the temples, to explore the province, or simply as a base — the city centre hotels offer good value and easy access to everything the town has to offer.
Budget options are plentiful and genuinely cheap by any measure. Simple guesthouses and small hotels start from around 300–500 baht per night ($8–14). The rooms are basic but clean, and for independent travellers watching costs, Buriram presents no problems.
Mid-range options step up considerably in quality without requiring a significant jump in price. The Crystal Hotel Buriram is consistently well-reviewed — a comfortable, modern property with friendly staff and a good city centre location. The Fortune Hotel offers a pool, buffet breakfast, and the kind of facilities that make a 3–4 night stay genuinely comfortable. The Buritel Hotel is another solid choice at a similar level, with parking that matters if you’ve hired a car to explore the province.
In general, average nightly rates for mid-range properties in Buriram run around 1,000–2,500 baht ($28–70), which by Thai provincial standards is fair value for what you get.
Ray Hotel Buriram is the standout option if health and fitness are a priority. A saltwater pool, gym with certified instructors, and yoga classes set it apart — yoga is genuinely unusual for a non-luxury hotel in Buriram, and it’s the only one that offers it. If you’re planning an active trip and want facilities that go beyond a standard hotel gym, Ray is worth looking at.

Near the Stadium Complex
Chang Circuit and Chang Arena sit roughly 4 kilometres southwest of Buriram city centre. Three hotels are within walking distance of both venues — the right choice for any event visitor, and worth considering for any stay where easy access to the complex matters.
Modena by Fraser Buriram
The most flexible option in this area. Modena by Fraser sits 1.1 kilometres from Chang International Circuit and 270 metres from Chang Arena — walking distance from both venues. Serviced apartments from 28 to 67 square metres, a pool, 24-hour gym, steam room, and kitchenette in the larger units. With 152 rooms, availability holds longer than the Amari properties. Pricing is broadly similar to Amari; check both for your dates.

Amari Buriram United
The hotel for football visitors. Chang Arena is a two-minute walk from the front door, and the hotel is built entirely around the club — 60 rooms and suites featuring wall murals of Buriram United players, team crest design elements, and the club’s signature blue throughout. It’s unabashedly football-themed and makes no apology for it.
The facilities are what you’d expect from Amari: a step above the typical provincial Thai hotel in every respect. On match days, the proximity to the stadium is hard to overstate. You walk there, walk back, and never once deal with transport.

BRIC Box
Next to Chang International Circuit rather than the stadium, BRIC Box is the natural choice for MotoGP and SuperGT visitors. All 80 rooms come with private balconies overlooking the circuit — on race weekends, you have a front-row view from your room. Dedicated parking is included, which matters considerably when the roads around the complex fill up on race days, and The Pavilion is on hand for food and drinks without leaving the complex.
For anyone coming specifically for motorsport, BRIC Box makes a compelling case over any other accommodation in Buriram. Circuit-view balconies, included parking, and Amari-standard rooms at a complex purpose-built for the event. It doesn’t exist anywhere else.

For all three properties: book early. MotoGP weekends and major football fixtures fill months in advance. Prices increase significantly during peak events. Don’t leave it late.
A Note for Visitors Flying via Don Mueang
If you’re flying to Buriram on AirAsia from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport — the main option — it’s worth knowing that the Amari Don Mueang is connected to the terminal by a covered bridge. If you’re arriving into Bangkok the evening before an early morning flight to Buriram, staying at the Amari Don Mueang removes all the stress of getting to the airport on time.
At the Buriram end, the airport is 32 kilometres from the city. There is no scheduled shuttle, but taxis are available — fares are negotiated rather than metered, and around 300–400 baht each way is typical. Alternatively, Amari Buriram United can arrange a private transfer if you contact them in advance, which is worth doing for a MotoGP or football weekend when you want as little uncertainty as possible.

Rural Hotels Near Buriram
Buriram province extends well beyond the city, and some of the most interesting accommodation options are away from it entirely — small resorts and guesthouses in the surrounding countryside, near the temples and agricultural villages that make up the real texture of the region.
Properties in this category tend to be quieter, more personal, and significantly cheaper than city hotels of equivalent quality. If you’re in Buriram for longer than a few days — or if the province itself, rather than the city’s sport and nightlife, is the draw — staying outside the centre is well worth considering.
One property worth singling out is Infinity SeeSun Resort, near Krasang — a rural area roughly halfway between Buriram and Surin. It’s the kind of place that wouldn’t look out of place in a glossy travel magazine and yet charges a fraction of what you’d expect: multiple outdoor pools, a water park, a restaurant, BBQ facilities, and staff who are both plentiful and genuinely attentive. It’s a legitimate resort, not a dressed-up guesthouse. The location is slightly isolated — that’s the trade-off — but it makes it an excellent choice for families, for longer stays, or for anyone who wants to decompress rather than be in the middle of a city.

Near Phanom Rung: Nang Rong
If Phanom Rung is the main reason for the trip, it is worth basing yourself at Nang Rong rather than in Buriram city. The temple opens at 6am and the drive from the city takes about an hour, so being there at opening time means leaving town at five. Nang Rong is roughly 30 minutes from the site.
The established option there is the Phanomrungpuri Hotel. Its reception arranges English-speaking day tours of Phanom Rung and Muang Tam for guests and walk-ins, which is genuinely useful if you are covering the temple corridor without a car. When to Book Your Buriram Hotel
For most of the year, Buriram accommodation is easy to find at short notice. The city is not overrun with tourists, and even mid-range hotels rarely sell out outside of major events.
The exceptions are predictable:
- MotoGP weekend — the entire city fills up. Book months in advance, not weeks. Prices across all categories increase significantly.
- Buriram United cup finals and AFC Champions League fixtures — smaller impact than MotoGP but still worth booking ahead, particularly for the Amari and properties close to the stadium.
- Phanom Rung Festival — the annual light show at Phanom Rung (typically April) draws domestic Thai visitors. City accommodation tightens briefly.
For standard visits outside these windows, booking a week or two in advance is plenty.

Whatever your reason for visiting Buriram, accommodation is unlikely to be the difficult part of your planning. The city is set up to receive event visitors in large numbers — the infrastructure exists because it has to. Outside of the major race and football weekends, it’s a straightforward place to find somewhere good to stay at a fair price.
