Properties that take walk-in bookings any other week are gone months in advance. Prices across all categories climb steeply. And the options left for late bookers are exactly what you’d expect.
The good news: Buriram has significantly more accommodation than most international guides mention. This article covers everything — from the hotel where you can watch the race from your balcony, through the circuit-adjacent options most guides miss, to city centre hotels and resorts across the province. Knowing the full picture is what matters when you’re planning a trip this in-demand.

The Only Hotel at the Circuit: BRIC Box
BRIC Box is purpose-built for exactly this situation. Located immediately adjacent to Chang International Circuit — not in the city, not a kilometre away, but at the venue itself — it is 80 rooms of motorsport-focused accommodation with private balconies overlooking the circuit on every room. On race weekend, you watch qualifying and the race from your own balcony. Dedicated parking is included, which matters considerably when the roads around the complex fill on race day. The Pavilion is on site for food and drinks without leaving.
BRIC Box is operated by Amari, so the service standard is consistent with the wider group — a step above the typical Thai provincial hotel — with the added context that the complex was designed from the ground up for large-scale motorsport events.
The one caveat that applies to this and almost every option in this article: book the moment race dates are confirmed. The MotoGP calendar is typically released around 12 months before the season opener. BRIC Box for race weekend disappears quickly after that. Don’t treat this as standard hotel booking — treat it as ticket buying.

In the Complex: Amari Buriram United
The best-known option in Buriram for MotoGP weekend, and for good reason. Amari Buriram United sits within the Thunder Castle complex — the unique sporting campus that combines Chang Circuit and Chang Arena, home of Buriram United FC. Chang Circuit is approximately one kilometre from the hotel entrance. On race day, you walk there. After the race, you walk back while the rest of the city deals with traffic.
The hotel was built around Buriram United football — 60 rooms with club imagery throughout — but the logic for MotoGP visitors is identical: Amari-standard facilities, and a location that makes transport a non-issue for the whole weekend. The atmosphere in the complex on a race weekend is unlike anything else in the region.
As with BRIC Box: the Amari fills for MotoGP before most people have confirmed their flights. If this is your preferred option, booking within days of the calendar release is not an exaggeration.

Also Near the Complex: Modena by Fraser
Closer to the circuit than most visitors realise. Modena by Fraser sits 1.1 kilometres from Chang International Circuit — 270 metres from Chang Arena — putting it in the same practical bracket as Amari Buriram United for race weekend access. Walk to the circuit on race day; walk back after. The logistics are essentially the same.
What Modena offers over the Amari is space and facilities: serviced apartments from 28 to 67 square metres, a pool, 24-hour gym, steam room, and kitchenette in the larger units. The extra room matters on a race weekend when you want to eat early without waiting for a restaurant. 152 rooms vs the Amari’s 60 also means availability holds slightly longer — though not long. Pricing is broadly similar; check both for your dates.
If BRIC Box and Amari Buriram United are gone by the time you search, check Modena next. It’s the closest thing to a like-for-like alternative.

Buriram City Centre: Four Kilometres from the Circuit
Chang Circuit is 4 kilometres southwest of Buriram city centre — close enough that the city is a workable base if the circuit-adjacent hotels are full or over budget. Getting to and from the circuit on race day requires some planning (see below), but the city has a full range of accommodation and is where most international MotoGP visitors end up staying.
Ray Hotel Buriram
Buriram’s wellness-focused option — saltwater pool, gym with certified instructors, and yoga classes that are genuinely unusual for a non-luxury hotel at this price point. If you’re building a week around the race rather than flying in purely for the weekend — adding temple visits, early mornings at the crane wetlands, a day at Phanom Rung — Ray Hotel’s facilities make the longer stay more comfortable. Centrally located in the city, close to the bus terminal and railway station.

Other City Centre Options
Crystal Hotel Buriram is consistently well-reviewed across booking platforms — comfortable, modern, good location, friendly staff. Fortune Hotel offers a pool and buffet breakfast. Buritel Hotel has parking if you’ve hired a car to explore the province. All three are solid mid-range at around 1,000–2,500 baht per night at normal rates. Expect premium pricing across all city hotels during MotoGP weekend; book at the same time as your flights.

Beyond the City: Buriram Province
Most MotoGP guides stop at the city centre. That misses a meaningful share of the accommodation available in the province — quieter, often better value, and the right choice if you’re combining the race with a few days exploring Buriram properly.
Infinity SeeSun Resort
17 kilometres southeast of Chang Circuit — midway between Buriram city and Krasang — Infinity SeeSun Resort is the standout option in this category. Multiple outdoor pools, a water park, a restaurant, BBQ facilities, and attentive service at a price point that’s striking compared to anything equivalent in the city. It’s a genuine resort, not a dressed-up guesthouse, and its location outside the city means the MotoGP price surge hits it less severely than central Buriram.
For families combining the race with a wider Thai trip, it’s an easy recommendation: proper pool and water park facilities, space that a city hotel can’t offer, and easy hire-car access to the circuit. Other Provincial Options
Buriram province has a solid spread of smaller properties that don’t always surface prominently in international searches. Home Style Resort is worth checking for a broader range of provincial options. Hideaway Resort, Jan Hom Boutique Hotel and Nong Nooch Homestay are smaller local places that showed no bookable rooms on Agoda or Traveloka when we checked in September 2026, so contact them directly. Google Maps, filtered by distance from Chang Circuit, will surface more places like these that standard travel guides tend to overlook.
Camping Near the Circuit
The cheapest race weekend option is Buriram Moto GP Campsite on Chang Wut Road, approximately 1.7 kilometres from the circuit. Tent pitches run around 250 baht per night. Reviews are mixed — the location is convenient and the price is genuinely hard to beat, but facilities are basic. Practical if you are comfortable camping and keeping costs down; less suited to anyone expecting straightforward comfort after a long race day in the heat.

Flying Via Bangkok: The Night Before at Don Mueang
AirAsia operates direct flights to Buriram Airport from Don Mueang (DMK) — around 14 times per week, with additional flights added for race weekend. If you’re flying in from Bangkok, the Amari Don Mueang is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway. Staying there the night before an early morning flight removes all uncertainty about getting to the gate on what is one of the busiest travel days of the Thai aviation calendar.

When to Book
The single most useful piece of planning advice for MotoGP Thailand accommodation:
BRIC Box and Amari Buriram United — book the day race dates are confirmed. The MotoGP calendar typically drops around 12 months before the season opener. Both properties sell out for race weekend shortly after. This is not a figure of speech.
Modena by Fraser — book within the first few weeks of the calendar release. More rooms than Amari, but still fills well ahead of city centre options.
City centre hotels — 3 to 6 months out is the working window. Comfortable at six months, risky at three. Ray Hotel fills before Crystal and Fortune, but none of them last into the final weeks.
Provincial resorts and homestays — less acute pressure than the city, but MotoGP weekend is MotoGP weekend. Book when you book your flights rather than treating it as an afterthought.
If everything above is genuinely sold out: short-term rental platforms (Airbnb, Agoda Homes) occasionally surface private rooms and apartments in Buriram for race weekend. It’s also worth trying Traveloka — the platform lists a number of smaller Buriram properties that don’t always appear on Agoda. Facebook groups for Buriram expats and MotoGP Thailand fans also circulate room availability in the weeks before the race. And many of the smaller guesthouses across the province don’t keep online calendars updated consistently — a direct message on Facebook or a phone call will sometimes confirm availability that a booking platform shows as gone.
Getting to the Circuit from Each Option
BRIC Box and Amari Buriram United: Walk. That’s the entire point.
Modena by Fraser: Walk — 1.1km from the circuit, same as Amari in practice.
City centre (4km): Songthaews — covered pickups running informal shared routes — typically operate from central Buriram to the circuit on race day. Cheap and effective, though they fill quickly in the hour before the race. Agree a fare before boarding. Taxis are available but in short supply in the congested window before the race; arrange your return journey before you leave the hotel. Budget 80–150 baht each way at normal rates; prices rise on race day.
SeeSun and Krasang area (17km): A hire car is the practical option. There is no public transport serving this part of the province, and taxis are scarce outside the city on race day. A hire car also opens up the province properly — Phanom Rung, the crane wetlands, the route south through the agricultural countryside — so it earns its cost across the trip rather than just the circuit run.
